Wedding Cupitt’s Winery Ulladulla

Cupitt’s Winery is the perfect venue for a wedding in the vines. The original sandstone building built back in the 1850′s, with Burrill Lake, Pigeon House Mountain and the Budawang Ranges in the background make for an amazing setting for that special wedding day and a photographers delight.

.

Besides your wedding in the vines, Cupitt’s kitchen restaurant provides for the perfect reception venue. All in the one location!

.

The venue holds up to 80 people and can be as you wish; a sit-down 3-course-meal, a buffet or a stand-up finger food event. (Click images to enlarge) Phone: (02) 4455 7888 Email: weddings@cupittwines.com.au Web site: Cupitts wines

Foodie Destination, Rick Stein Restaurant,

NSW South Coast Food Trail.

Matthew Parris, (Foodie) The Times UK columnist writes:

“Spectacularly sited on a headland with the pacific ocean all around, this hotel and restaurant is proof of Australia’s changing food culture and of a new swagger to the NSW south coast. Overseen by Rick Stein, Bannisters restaurant Mollymook is a memorable place to eat.

…Australia is about the best place to eat seafood. I began with oysters Charentaise, a mix of charcuterie and local rock oysters from the nearby Clyde River. None of that just-a-squeeze-of-lemon stuff here – this was bullish cooking in the confident Australian style, a bit of Europe, a bit of Asia and all of its own.

To that end, the Bannisters (NSW South Coast) menu offered steamed abalone with ginger and spring onions; lobster Thermidor; and flounder a la meuniere. A magnificent spicy, sticky Singapore chilli crab laden with garlic and coriander was brought to the table with a fine grilled fillet of snapper. All spectacular.” sainsburysmagazine.co.uk

Foodie Destination, Cupitts Restaurant,

NSW South Coast Food Trail

Matthew Parris, The Times UK columnist writes: ‘What a difference!‘ When last in Australia 25 years ago the food was meat pies and chips. Now its amazing.’ Before heading home we wanted to try Cuppit’s Winery. Facing rich pastures towards a forested skyline you can dine amid the vineyards in an old stone built bungalow or outside in the sun. The atmosphere is green, cool and tranquil. The 2011 Alphonse Sauvignon from the Shoalhaven Coast had a lemony bite to it, just right for a local menu of Black Angus beef with seafood. Try it. You’ll be surprised.” sainsburysmagazine.co.uk

Menu Log writes: “Chef Russell Chinn has been with Cupitt’s Winery since April 2010. Hailing from Yorkshire, England, Russell is classically trained in French cooking. His style is elegantly rustic using fresh, local and seasonal produce that results in full flavours with French/English influence”. Menu log

Foodie Destination, Ceto Restaurant,

NSW South Coast Food Trail.

Food Critic, Brian H. St Kilda, Vic. Amazing food and excellent service. My 2nd visit, on this occasion I chose the Tasting Menu, (it should be called the Tasting Journey) it was matched with superb wine. Flavours were delicate, presentation art worthy and wine an enhancement sourced from across the globe. Location was serene, we sat up stairs where it was quieter and enjoyed the sunset play out on the marina below.

The chef Alex hails from a variety of top Sydney restaurants such as; Rockpool, Quay, Becasse, Etch and the Establishment. The last 3 1/2 years he spent as executive chef Rick Stein Bannisters, Mollymook.

With his modern, progressive and unique style, imagination and flair for cooking, Alex and wife Robbie have recently stepped out to set up their own restaurant Ceto which is in an envious position overlooking the Ulladulla Harbour.
