Foodie Destination, St Isidore Restaurant,

NSW South Coast Food Trail.

.

Victorian foodie, Nick P. writes; “St Isidore Restaurant, Milton NSW was the gourmet highlight of my recent stay in Mollymook and an exciting discovery in the growing range of culinary delights on the south coast.

Set in a charming farm-like location only minutes from Mollymook, St Isidore exudes a warmth and care in every aspect of food and service that most other restaurants only aspire to.

Many of the fresh ingredients are incorporated from the grounds of the restaurant and in summer on the outside deck or in winter inside the cosy interior, it is the perfect spot for a lazy lunch or an enchanting dinner.

We had a delicious and fantastic lunch and I cant wait to return! (Foodie article)

St Isidore Restaurant Reviews, Milton NSW

Urbanspoon review: “This little unassuming place tucked away in the picturesque hills of Milton in NSW is well worth a visit. The restaurant so pretty and the setting is delightful. You will not be disappointed.

The service is relaxed and would put any top restaurant in Melbourne to shame. But it is food that shines.

Do not leave with out having tried the middle eastern spiced duck spring roll. They are totally moorish. My rabbit stew with polenta was generous, rich and lip smackingly tasty. Followed by a warm chocolate tart with salted caramel ice cream and praline. Like a gourmet snickers. Yum!

I was so satisfied I could have dropped into a food coma”.

Try it! There was nothing not to like- even the marbelled butter served with the near perfect bread was delicious – as were all the sides. Clever chef”.

Freshly shucked Oysters

Foodie Destination, South Coast Food Trail

Australia’s Oyster Coast

Travellers’ table: article; “Where to eat & drink on NSW South Coast” Richard Cornish writes “With its golden sand beaches, lapped by sapphire blue ocean, the South Coast is becoming a dining destination dotted with sleepy seaside towns and fishing ports.

It is fast becoming the summer playground for Australia’s southern capitals: Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne people come for the fishing, beaches, boating and now, the food.

Best oysters in Australia: Home to the Sydney rock oyster the growers have dubbed this part of the world, Australia’s Oyster Coast. Their website lists many of the growers in the area and sends you down dirt tracks to the rustic sheds on the water where you meet the growers and buy incredibly fresh and good value oysters. Buy a hessian sack of oysters, a shucker if you don’t own one, and sit by the beach or river”. website: Australia’s Oyster Coast
